Time's up for reservations and guest lists for the masked private parties' business linked to the Venetian Carnival starting in about one month's time and already published by the Venetian company Oltrex. It is a business that sees the best palaces in town transformed into an ideal location for parties mostly attended by foreign guests who come to the lagoon for the special exclusive events and are willing to spend a small fortune to join them.

The top party is confirmed as the Doge's Ball at Ca' Pisani Moretta, organized by designer and costume-maker Antonia Sautter on 25 February. For 2500 euros the super Vip entry with welcome cocktail, dinner, two shows, open bar and disco are included  (fully booked already); for 1800-800 euros guests can attend one show and/or a drink for a quick after dinner stop-over.

Ca' Pisani Moretta will also host, on thursday 23 February, the Tiepolo Ball with the typical dinner and the hall transformed into a dancing floor (from 700 to 570 euros with a reduced price of 100 euros for the after-dinner events.

Palazzo Albrizzi will offer its guests on saturday 25 February the Minuetto Gran Gala; here too an XVIII century atmosphere between Mozart and candle-lit tables. Fixed price of 450 euros, costume rental excluded.

The Carnival in Love Grand Ball is scheduled to take place at Palazzo Benzon, a XVIII palace on the Grand Canal; it has been announced as the "Vice party", a minimum tariff of 130 euros which can go up to 900 depending on the "benefit".

Fully booked already the  Minuetto at the Danieli on Saturday 18 Feburary with ball and masked dinner in the main hall of the famous Venetian Hotel, for 290 euros. Some places are still available, at the same tariff, for Saturday 25 Feburary.
