To help visitors experience the beauty of Venice, we must advise them as to what they may see while they are here by providing useful information and suggesting visits to art museums, modern art collections, and evening concerts.
For this project, we have established a collaboration with several organizations: the confraternity of Scuola Grande di San Rocco a famous building featuring the work of Tintoretto; the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, identified as the most important museum in Italy for 20th-century European and American art; the sixteen churches of the Chorus housing the largest collection of sacred masterpieces by Tiepolo, Veronese, and Tiziano; Fondazione Querini Stampalia a noble Venetian residence where ancient and contemporary meet; the Scuola Grande dei Carmini with the wonders by Tiepolo, Piazzetta and Longhena; the Museum of Music, situated in the Church of San Maurizio, featuring a splendid collection of musical instruments and handmade violin masterpieces from the 18th century; and, last but not least, the concert season of the Interpreti Veneziani, internationally-acclaimed artists who bring the art of Vivaldi to life.
The ArteMusicaVenezia initiative involves the cooperation of many tourist agents who, on request, provide their clients with the most useful and practical means of popularizing this enterprise: a map of Venice showing various artistic itineraries.
ArteMusicaVenezia is the result of reciprocal esteem among the collaborators, with the goal of helping guests come to understand the excellence of Venice … the multiple expressions of art.
